Martin Mickelsson presents his postdoc project that aims to study approaches to, and conditions for, Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) education among health practitioners.

Today, there is a growing interest in the links between expressing awareness and knowledge about Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR), and, developing attitudes and action to combat AMR. Meanwhile, these links cannot be taken for granted. This postdoc aims at bridging the gap in research on AMR-education, including the need for more substantial and research-based educational approaches emphasising teaching and learning.
Through collaborations with researchers and health practitioners in Zimbabwe and South Africa, the project addresses how AMR education can enable health practitioners in supporting the development of health literacy capabilities among local communities.

The research is expected to result in new perspectives on AMR education.
